Theme for the Month: Self Portraits- Underpainting in Grayscale/ Grisaille
In this class we paint with a systematic and disciplined technique that aims to make our painting process more precise and skillful. We will work from a combination of paintings, photos and/or models. We use a limited palette and focus on 4 main aspects of a portrait: Proportion, Value, Color, and Edge. Student receive individual instruction each session and individual in class critiques over the course of the month. Practicing this way month after month leads to greater confidence and mastery. This is an ongoing class that welcomes new students.
This class will be taught online using Zoom. When you register you will be sent instructions and login info for joining the call.
