Theme for the month: Figure painting
This month we will only be meeting for the first 2 weeks.
We will do a two weeks figure painting using the limited palette. We will learn how to simplify the forms of body and look for rhythm and gesture in the pose. As always there will be a focus on value and skin tones. Dominique will provide demos and break down the process of painting into clear and consecutive steps. Our process focuses on the 4 main aspects of a portrait: Proportion, Value, Color, and Edge. We will use a limited palette that is designed to help you understand color theory and color relationships.
