Theme for the month: Gesture and Portrait Drawing on Toned Paper
Our main project we will be drawing a charcoal portrait on toned paper. We will discuss simplifying the forms of the head by breaking down the drawing process into clear steps. We will focus on the 3 main aspects of a portrait and figure: Proportion, Value, and Edge. We will also practice charcoal gesture drawing with a variety of short poses.
This class will be taught online using Zoom
