Workshop Description:

When we choose to paint someone that we want to paint we have to make composition, color, value and narrative decisions. In this workshop students will use their own photo reference of a family member, mentor, or someone who’s had a meaningful impact on their lives. The focus will be on painting techniques that capture the sitter's essential traits. Dominique will demo the portrait painting process each day. Each day students will receive critiques and guidance. This workshop will help you make a compelling painting from your own reference.
