Thursday | Artistic Anatomy of the Portrait Online

Understand the human portrait by studying the underlying structural anatomy of the face and neck. Elijah uses cutting-edge digital 3D anatomy models and traditional sculptures as references to help students develop a deep understanding of the human face. While Elijah will be demonstrating with 3D software, students only need pencil and paper—no special tools or programs required. Classes will include anatomy lectures and critiques of homework anatomy sketches. This class is perfect for beginners. No prior anatomical experience is required!

Elijah Strongheart Evenson is a renowned traditional and digital sculptor who has been teaching anatomy and portrait sculpting with a focus on classical art for over 10 years.  

Materials Needed: Just a sketchbook, pencil or charcoal and an eraser.
