Theme: Painting Form from Life
The structure of the class is flexible. Students may choose to complete one painting per week, work through several smaller studies, or develop a single sustained piece over multiple sessions. The emphasis is on painting form. observation, consistent practice, and strengthening core fundamentals through direct painting from life.
Students are encouraged to bring a few objects that genuinely interest them — flowers, fruits, reflective or luminous objects, fabrics, ceramics, glass, or anything they’ve been wanting to paint. Thoughtful object selection and arrangement will be part of the creative process.
This class is designed for both beginners and experienced painters looking to deepen their understanding of color, value, composition, and paint handling in a supportive and encouraging environment.
