Grisaille Portait Workshop:

Drawing and Value are the cornerstones of a classical training. Foregoing color allows us to focus solely on these two aspects of the portrait. Painting in Grisaille helps us to understand the importance of value structure in our paintings.

We will start with a demo and break down the process of painting into clear and consecutive steps. Dominique will critique and instruct each session. You have a choice of working in black and white or Umber and white. Practicing this way over the course of the weekend will help to sharpen your observation, and take your skill to a new level.
