Course Outline:  

­Gaining the ability to work quickly, and with precision, is key in your development as a painter. The time restraint forces you to simplify and focus on gesture and large masses. This is the secret behind all great work. Dominique will demo, break down the process into clear and consecutive steps, and instruct each session. We will use a limited palette to help us understand color relationships. Our focus will be on process and the 4 main aspects of a portrait, Proportion, Value, Color, and Edge. Practicing this way helps sharpen your observation, capture a likeness within a limited time frame and takes your skill to a new level.
