In this weekend workshop we take the lessons we learned from day 7-12 on Dominique Medici Art Academy’s YouTube channel. In this weekend workshop we will learn how to render the form of the still life that we drew in DMAA Month 1 workshop.
During the 7 hr workshop we will cover the following.
We will talk about the importance of having good value structure in our drawing and make a value scale
learn how to break down our reference into 5 values
we discus easel set up and lighting our still life
Practice shading techniques
Talk about composing a still life and having a good balance of textures and shapes.
Render our drawing using 5 values
Look at 3 edge types.
You can choose to work from reference that Dominique provides or you can set up your own still life.
